Hunter Boot Care Guide

At Hunter, our boots are crafted from the highest quality natural rubber to deliver exceptional durability and comfort. To preserve their performance and appearance, we recommend following the care instructions below.

 Caring for Your Hunter Boots

 What You Will Need:

  • Olive Oil or Hunter Boot Buffer
  • Mild soap or detergent
  • Soft cloth or sponge
  • Soft-bristled brush (optional)
  • Clean, dry microfiber cloth
  • Cold or lukewarm water

Step-by-Step Cleaning Instructions

 1. Remove Surface Dirt

Using cold or lukewarm water, rinse off any loose mud or dirt. Gently wipe the surface with a soft cloth or sponge. For more stubborn areas, a soft-bristled brush can be used.

2. Wash with Mild Soap

Prepare a solution of water and mild soap. Dampen your cloth or sponge with the mixture and gently clean the boot surface, being careful not to saturate the inside of the boot.

3. Rinse and Dry

Wipe away any soap residue using clean water and a damp cloth. Allow the boots to air dry naturally, away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources.

Removing Rubber Bloom

Rubber bloom is a natural process in which insoluble particles rise to the surface of the rubber, creating a white, powdery film. This is not a defect, but a characteristic of high-quality natural rubber.

To restore your boots to their original finish:

  • Apply Olive Oil or Hunter Boot Buffer directly to the affected area.
  • Using a clean microfiber cloth, gently buff the surface in circular motions until the bloom is removed and shine is restored

 Storage Guidelines

  • Always store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat.
  • Keep boots upright or use boot shapers to maintain their shape.
  • Ensure boots are clean and fully dry before storing.

Important Notes

  • Do not dry your boots near direct heat sources such as radiators or fireplaces.
  • Avoid the use of strong detergents, solvents, or abrasive materials.
  • Never machine wash or tumble dry Hunter boots.

By following these care instructions, you can ensure your Hunter boots remain in excellent condition, season after season.
