If you’re not rocking the commando boots trend yet, I have good news for you. IT’S NOT TOO LATE! Although commando boots have been a huge trend for the past few seasons, they have actually been around all along - and they’re not going anywhere soon!

Hunter is a brilliant choice if you’re not only serious about good quality, but also about protecting the environment. They are handcrafted using natural rubber, certified vegan and waterproof.

These Hunter beauties are available in black and cast (a pale grey colour) and they will be an invaluable addition to your wardrobe. They are the perfect trans-seasonal shoe that can be styled in endless ways. They are not only trendy, but also weather-proof and practical.

Combat style boots were seen all over the spring-summer runways for 2022, including designers such as Valentino, Alexander McQueen and Dior. For a spring or summer look, simply lighten the rest of your outfit - either with the style or the colour - to contrast the chunkier shoe.

I love how you can wear commando boots with their traditional rough-and-tumble aesthetic, with something super soft and feminine. The masculinity of a chunky boot offsets the feminine detail beautifully.  Alternatively, wear them with a pair of leather leggings and a biker jacket for an edgy look. These boots give you endless possibilities to play with.

Personally, I would style either the black or the cast version of the Hunter commando boot with this bias-cut skirt from Harlow and Summer. I would pair it with a black cami (like this one from Forever New) and chunky knit (like this one from Truworths) worn over the shoulders for those in-between days. I would top this edgy-romantic look off with the Zazi Petite handbag from Antelo ##link to buy##, earrings ##link to buy## and black and white bracelets ##link to buy##.

These will look fabulous with jeans! You can tuck your skinny or slim straight leg jeans into the boot, or simply leave the jeans to bunch above the boots. Alternatively, you can roll up or cuff the jeans above or at the boot shaft. Wear with high waisted, cropped jeans for a trendy look.
